Feel comfortable and safe. Be yourself.

What is counseling and therapy like?

My approach is gentle, direct, and easy going. When appropriate, I love humor as a liberating and effective tool in therapy, with both individuals and couples. I believe, and research has confirmed, that the most effective element of therapy is the therapeutic relationship we develop over time. I love hearing stories, your stories!, and what makes you unique as an individual and a couple.

The decision to seek counseling can change your life. In a relaxed and informal fashion, I will help you find answers from within to identify the changes you want to make, then support and guide you throughout the process with compassion and respect. In a nurturing, supportive environment, we focus on seeing new and different options and gently explore.

Together, and at your own pace, we discover and realize solutions that work for you. It is during moments of being therapeutically "in the zone," when truly remarkable thoughts are created, dots are connected, and profound emotions surface -  this is when growth takes place and changes are sparked that will transform you and your life. Let me help you empower yourself and guide you through the changes and transformations you want to make!

In relationships, we often use trial and error and "give it our best" to make changes and improvements, just to realize we feel frustrated, stuck or helpless. That's why I love the Gottman method: it looks at your strengths and sheds a light on areas that need improving, then teaches and guides how to change and evolve individually and together.

The most rewarding moments in couple's therapy are "aha" moments when partners feel deeply and intensely connected, understood, valued, and loved. My passion is fueled by having couples experience those moments and integrate them into their relationships!

Let me guide and coach you on how to create and keep the relationship you always wanted!

  • Cultural Sensitivity: I embrace your cultural identity and background and welcome persons from all walks of life. I am culturally sensitive and humble. I am bi-cultural and bi-lingual (Swiss/German). Sessions can be conducted in German.
